BNP2TKI was established in 2006 by Presidential Regulation No: 81/ 2006. As stipulated by Regulation, the main task of the Board is to carry out the promotion, placement, and protection of Indonesian overseas workers known as TKI.
BNP2TKI through the Deputy of International Cooperation and Promotion, systematically promote the placement of Indonesian overseas workers for formal sector through a range of promotional programmes and activities, such as direct visits to sources of employment, road shows, employment business meetings and exhibition/expo.
BNP2TKI accomplishes its programmes in cooperation with various stakeholders, such as governmental institutions, related association (educations/training centers and profession), and employment) agencies.
Employment Business Meeting is an eventwhere we bring together those whodemand for Indonesian workers (so calledDemander) and those who provide theneeded workers (so called Supplier).Demanders may come as prospectiveemployer, employment agencies or otherrecognized instituion from outsideIndonesia, while Suppliers come asIndonesian employment agencies,education/training centre and professionassociation within Indonesia.
BNP2TKI through Directorate of Promotion(supported by Ministry of Foreign Affairs)invited Demanders from Singapore,Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Penang), Brunei Darussalam, Thailand (Songkla),Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia (Melbourne,Darwin), New Zealand and USA(Los Angeles, Houston); throughcoordination with Indonesian Embassy/Consulate General; and Supplier from morethan 50 companies in Indonesia." Employment Business Meeting " will beheld in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on 21‐22July 2011 as a medium to employ the bestIndonesian workers from various sectorsuch as Hospitality, Health, Construction,Oil and Gas, IT and ManufactureGasManufacture.
